The error message "Unable to create temporary table file name" in Sage DacEasy for Windows typically indicates a problem with file permissions or insufficient disk space. Here are some steps to resolve the issue:
Check if there is enough free disk space on the drive where the temporary files are being created.
Make sure that the user has the necessary permissions to create and modify files in the directory where the temporary files are stored. You might need to run the program as an administrator.
Verify that the directory specified for temporary files in the program settings is accessible and writable.
Ensure that no antivirus or security software is blocking the creation of temporary files.
If possible, try to reproduce the error in a different user account to see if it's a user-specific issue.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, consider reaching out to Sage DacEasy support for further assistance.
Im getting this error but don't know how to fix it. Can someone help or can I hire someone to fix this for me?

The "Btrieve Error #2" in Sage DacEasy typically indicates a file access error. Here are some steps you can try to resolve this issue:
Check File Permissions: Ensure that you have the necessary permissions to access the DEAPRTD.DB file. Check that both the file permissions and the directory permissions allow your user account to read and write to this file.
Verify Network Issues: If this file is located on a network drive, make sure that the network connection is stable. You may want to check if any network issues are causing disruptions in file access.
Check for Exclusive Access: Ensure that no other process or user is exclusively locking the file. This can happen if another user/computer has the file open or if it was not closed properly previously.
Free Up Resources: Sometimes this error can be due to insufficient system resources. Closing unnecessary programs and restarting the computer might free up needed resources.
Database Repair Tool: Some software comes with a built-in database repair utility that can fix minor corruption issues. Check if Sage DacEasy offers such a tool and run it.
Consult Documentation: Review any documentation or support forums available for Sage DacEasy, as they often have specific troubleshooting steps.
Contact Support: If none of these steps work, consider reaching out to Sage DacEasy customer support for further assistance. They may provide more tailored support or advice.
Hiring Help: If you're not comfortable performing these troubleshooting steps on your own, you may consider hiring an IT professional who has experience with Sage DacEasy and Btrieve database issues.
These steps can often resolve common Btrieve errors, but for a thorough solution, specific knowledge of the program and its environment might be required.

Can the data from version 16 be exported into the Excel format?

No, the data can't be exported to excel in version 16. There have been reports that if you export the data to an Excel file, it will look completely different and a lot of rework needs to be done in order to make it look fine. This is time consuming and will offer incomplete results. Try to export to another format and then import the data to Excel.
I'm running Daceasy 2012 on a single point of sale machine. I have a Star 512 USB receipt printer attached and is working fine. I also have a HP DeskJet printer attached to the same system via USB and I want to incorporate that into the DacEasy so I can print large bills or Quotes when I need to. Need to do this urgently. Please advise. Thanks.

I've downloaded a user guide where various information about the installation procedure is presented. You can also find out how to configure a new printer as well as various printing modes and codes.
Basically, you should do the same as you did for previous devices, but if you need additional instructions, download the PDF below to learn how to connect and set up:
Is Daceasy v.18 single version or network version? We have over 100 files in Daceasy v.12 (Network version). How to convert to Daceasy v.18 (Network version)? Are there any problems?

Theoretically, it shouldn't be any problem upgrading from one major version to another as long as the applications are optimized to support each other. However, if you have problems I would like to advise you to backup the data in version 12 and then perform the upgrade or install version 18 (if it's still available) and then use the import function to update the database. This is a safer way because in case it doesn't work, you still have the database backup and version 12 can be re-installed.
Sage DacEasy will continue to support its customers on Sage Business Care and no new release is planned at this time. If you wish to go to a more current product, see what the migration process looks like and get the answers to many of the questions you may have, visit our Sage DacEasy Migration Resource Center. Contact Sage DacEasy at 800-937-9951 with any questions you have on your current product. Sage DacEasy no longer sells new software licenses.
As you can see in the paragraph above, you can't purchase or install DacEasy anymore since I believe it has been retired. You should look for other Sage products since they might have incorporated DacEasy's functionality.
